Married in Sicily is a boutique wedding planning agency specialising in legal weddings in Sicily, led by Dom Hebblethwaite.

Dom is bilingual in English and Italian and has spent his working life between the two countries. For over a decade he ran Live in Italy, a property and relocation service for English speakers, which meant years of getting real things done inside Italian bureaucracy: contracts, comuni, notaries, deadlines, and the thousand small phone calls in Italian that make the difference between a plan and an outcome. Married in Sicily applies that same craft to ensuring the wedding you want actually happens.

He is a bilingual translator and interpreter, and works closely with a Sicilian-born translator and interpreter on sworn translations and the Italian side of the paperwork. At an Italian civil ceremony the law requires an independent interpreter; we provide one as part of every service.

The team around each wedding flexes with the level of planning you need, from a two-person elopement to a full villa weekend delivered with a coordinated Sicilian team on the day.

Dom is based in St Albans, and in Sicily as the work requires: walking venues, meeting suppliers, and sitting in comune offices so you never have to.

We are not tied to any one venue or agency, we take no commission from any supplier, and you pay venues and suppliers directly at their real prices. Our fee is fixed and agreed in writing before you commit.
